The steel front plate makes this bird nest completely squirrel proof, and also has 25mm and 32mm holes for various sparrows, tits and nuthatches. When this plate is removed it reveals a larger opening, more suitable for robins, wren, spotted flycatchers and pied wagtails. The benefit of the Stubbythene, in comparison to a traditional wooden box, is that it is impermiable to flees and other parasites.
